
Cooking Up Change: Preparing University & College Students for living away from home in the Fall with Culinary Classics + Peer Support Group
FEES: $695.00 + HST for 4 week program

In class tastings; two portions of food prepared to take home; a grocery store road trip to learn practical budgeting and shopping skills; and a weekly ‘Chef Chat’ where you will find support to manage the upcoming transition to school in the fall including topics such as: preparing to move away, saying goodbyes, adjusting to life at school, cooking healthy food on a budget, food as a connector to make new friends, managing family dynamics and dealing with stress to manage your mental health well.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Join Chef Pam, also a clinical social worker, to learn how to cook up delicious meals AND find support to find JOY in moving away from home for school this fall. Our 2.5 hour hands-on, and interactive classes are held at Fanjoy’s new outdoor kitchen in downtown Guelph. Menus will vary each week. No cooking experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
